SHIPPING FRAGILE DISC RECORDINGS SUCH AS SHELLAC OR GLASS
It is suggested that you double box them. Here is an example for twelve
10 inch 78 rpm recordings. First, make two stacks of 6 and put a sheet of
corrugated card board on each side of each stack. Tape each stack on four
sides.
Then take the two stacks and tape them together and put them in a box close to
the size of the combined stacks. Use appropriate soft padding between the
combined stack an the walls of the box. Foam, popcorn pellets or bobble back is
good.
Take that sealed box and put it into a larger box (2" or more on all sides),
with padding as described or small balls of crumpled single sheets of newpaper.
