MOUNTING AN S-322 MKII ARM ON AN EMPIRE 598/698 TURNTABLE

The diameter of the EMPIRE mounting hole on suspended turntables is a tad wider than the replacement arm.  Aligning the new arm into that mounting hole and tightening the set screw is normally sufficient.  However, if you wish to snug up the fit a bit more, you can shim the arm in place.  Either use a small section of cardboard from the new arm's packaging or use some Hillman 839810 Mylar material, found at Home Depot stores.
