A NOTE TO CUSTOMERS WHO WANT TO PURCHASE ADD-ON EQUALIZERS In the past, most manufacturers of preamp-control centers, integrated amplifiers, and receivers made it easy to connect external audio equalizers and similar devices. They almost universally included a RECORDER MONITOR LOOP. These were easily identifiable by a MONITOR button on the front panel. Others even included and EXTERNAL EQUALIZER LOOP. These were easily identifiable by two pair of extra RCA jacks on the rear panel, usually with jumper connections between them. You inserted your external device into these connection. If you have such a product, you will have little problem connecting any of our external products. If you are in the market for a new preamp-control
center, integrated amplifier, or receiver, you should keep that in mind.
There really is a need for this feature if you use an audio recorder.
It facilitates your being able to ensure that the audio recording you
were making was actually taking place as you intended, as you can
monitor its progress. | |

Then you can connect equalizers galore to this expanded system. You would need only one free Aux input on you receiver for connection of the SuperConnector. Read what

SUPERCONNECTOR MANUAL REK-O-KUT LOW
NOISE STEREO PHONO / AUX SWITCH
A precise, two-way switch utilizing RCA connectors, especially suited to phono applications. Because most other switches are really designed for high-level, or "Aux" levels, they introduce hum and other noises when used with the extremely low levels produced by phono cartridges. This switcher can be used to switch either of two phono turntables to the input of a hifi amplifier. It can also be used to add two Aux inputs to an amplifier that has only one such input and it can be used wherever one input needs to be expanded to two or visa-versa. Tired of stupid, childish programs received by your expensive radio or tuner? Tired of 50 Rock & Roll DJs and boring political
talk shows, but one classical or jazz station? You don't need a short wave
radio, or an expensive audiophile tuner. You need a:
REPLACE YOUR FM TUNER - GET DIGITAL SOUND FROM AROUND THE WORLD
Face it, 90% of what is on FM is canned Rock and Roll or Country
programming. Most FM stations are owned by conglomerates that offer
little more than pop elevator music. There is virtually no variety
on FM. There is nothing on FM to warrant the purchase of an
expensive FM tuner!
Here is the solution. I have been listening to more and more radio stations over the Internet for the last few years. I used to struggle with AM antennas, orienting radios, etc., to hear something different on distant stations. I then found I could get them on my computer in almost, and often, FM sound. I even ran a cord from my computer to my hifi. It was all pretty nice, but waiting for that thing to boot up was a drag. Tuning by mouse was no fun. Listening to that computer fan roar was no fun either. So I purchased this C. Crane WIFI radio to check out what this was all about.
It looks just like a table radio. It does not look like a computer, but
it sort of is one in a radio cabinet. The speaker is the same size
as that in the Kloss PAL radio, and has good sound.
No, it doesn't have AM and FM, but who needs them? Most of the AM and FM
stations are already on the Internet.
So, you can still pick them up, often in better sound, and with no
interference.
Most Internet stations appear to bypass
broadcast limiting, which means unrestricted dynamics. Basically, you tune it
by selecting from menus. You use the big knob. You rotate thru
countries, genres of program, then station and press it in to get it. It
is like having XM or SIRIUS, but FREE and getting 200 times as many
stations as they offer!
To use a WIFI radio, you have to have DSL or High-Speed wireless Internet installed in your house (WIFI). It's only a few more bucks than regular telephone service, but has many advantages. One is that you have far less susceptibility to having your computer hacked by creeps. Another is much faster Internet; less waiting to load pictures, files, etc. With WIFI, you don't use your dial-up modem anymore. No cables, you get portability. Your provider (usually your telephone company) will provide you with a small two-way transmitter, called a router, that sits in a convenient place in your home. It will provide high-speed Internet service to all your computers (and WIFI radios) without any cables. To you it's all transparent; it just works like a radio. Setting up the radio to receive broadcasts is a easy as setting up your laptop or any computer to communicate with WIFI. The radio will ask you to input your Key (supplied by your Internet provider-probably written on your router). Once you input that Key, the computer or radio is connected to your home system. Click here to see the manual. You can tune in over 10,000 radio stations from around the world. It has excellent sound, a small footprint and fits anywhere. On the rear panel, there's a 3.5mm headphone socket for headphone listening and a 3.5mm line-out for connection to your hifi settup. It has a full-range, 5 watt, 8 Ohm dynamic speaker (2.5 inch). Features 99 memory presets, remote control, an alarm clock. The first ten presets are on the remote. After that, you have to punch in the other 89. Many competing WIFI radios have no remote and only 3 to 5 presets on the front panel. They require you playing with menus to tune stations. The CC WiFI operates with the most common routers. If no router, it has an Ethernet port for a hard-wire network connection (cable, not supplied). Size: 6.5 W x 3.9 H x 3.9 D inches Weight: 1 lb.
